Wisdom from Above

Date:
Sun, 21/02/2010

James begins by asking a question (v. 13): who is wise and understanding among you?

How would you respond to James’ question this morning? Do you consider yourself wise and understanding? Is this a challenge you want to take on? Or, is it a threatening question you don’t want to face? How do we even discern the presence or absence of wisdom and understanding?

James tells us in the next sentence (v. 13b): By his good conduct let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom. This is the standard for discerning wisdom.
